Software Backend Engineer

Qlub is a Global FinTech Startup revolutionising payments in restaurants and cafes by letting customers pay straight from a QR code! As a Qlub user you still get to enjoy the full dine-in experience, but now you have the choice to pay and split bills in a matter of seconds all via your mobile, instead of waiting for the cheque! After successfully launching in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and raising an additional $42 million in funding, we have recently launched Qlub in Turkey as well.

We are looking for skilled and motivated Backend Developers to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in NestJS and TypeScript
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching
• Experience with GitHub for version control and Jira for task management
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Familiarity with microservices architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools

• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in English
• Work independently with minimal supervision; self-management is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks effectively
